Press & PR

For PR agencies, in-house communications and marketing teams. THRIVE reports on the UK fleet industry for the people who run fleets - fleet managers, leasing and finance teams, company-car decision-makers and van and HGV operators. If you have news that changes a decision for them, we want to hear it.

Sending us news

Email hello@thrivefleet.co.uk, with News: and the headline in the subject line. A person reads everything that arrives.

Embargoes are honoured. Put the embargo date and time (UK time) at the start of the subject line, for example EMBARGO 00:01 [date]:, and we won't publish anything from the release before then. If the news is made public before the embargo lifts - on your own newsroom, for example - we treat the embargo as lifted.

What helps a release get used:

  • A link to the release on your own newsroom or website. We cite the primary source, so a public URL we can link to matters more than a polished PDF. Please link rather than attach: attachments are not opened.
  • The underlying numbers. A percentage without its base is not a figure we can report. Give the sample size, the period and who carried out any survey.
  • What changes for fleets. Say plainly who it affects and when: a price, a date, a rule, a vehicle that can now be ordered.
  • A named contact who can answer a factual question the same day.

We also monitor company newsrooms, regulators and official data feeds through the day. If your newsroom publishes an RSS or Atom feed, send us the address and we will consider adding it.

What we cover

News with a stated, specific consequence for UK fleets, across our sections: Policy & Tax, Vehicles & launches, Charging & Energy, Market & Business, Contract Watch and The Numbers. Strong candidates include price and tariff changes, vehicle availability and specifications, regulatory and tax changes, charging-network developments, results and deals, contract awards and original data.

What we don't run

  • Thought leadership, how-to guides and opinion pieces presented as news
  • Product promotion with no news event behind it
  • Appointments, awards, sponsorships, charity and community events
  • Consumer or homeowner stories without a fleet angle
  • Survey findings without the base numbers, sample and method

How we use your release

A press release is where a story starts, not the whole story. We link to your release as the source of your announcement and attribute your figures to you by name, so readers know whose numbers they are reading. Where we can, we check claims against the underlying document, regulators, official data or other independent sources, and we report what a release leaves out as well as what it says. A single release with nothing to check it against will usually wait until we can add that context.

Coverage is decided on sourcing and relevance to fleets alone. We don't send stories for approval before they are published, and we don't run supplied copy as written. Full detail is on our sourcing & fact-checking page.

Images and logos

Article images are original editorial artwork made for THRIVE. We don't republish press photographs, stock images or logos, so there is no need to send them.

Corrections and right of reply

If your organisation is named in a story and something is wrong, email hello@thrivefleet.co.uk with the story link and what is inaccurate. A challenged claim is marked as under review while we check it, and corrected or removed if we can't stand it up. Corrections are published openly, never made silently. See our corrections policy.

Using THRIVE data and analysis

THRIVE's fleet datasets - running costs, fuel prices, charging, taxation and more - are free to use in your own content, reports and campaigns, including commercially. Attribution with a link is requested, never required; the full terms are on the data terms page. You are welcome to quote and cite our stories and Insights with a link to the original. For a specific figure, a comment on the data or a question about method, email hello@thrivefleet.co.uk.

Advertising and sponsorship

Paid opportunities are handled separately from editorial and never buy coverage. See advertise with THRIVE. Why the two are kept apart is set out on our funding and independence page.
