Your fleet's numbers this week
A one-page board pack for your own fleet: what it spends on fuel and electricity at this week's prices, the gap between them, when an electric van pays back, where the advisory fuel rates stand and how the market feels. Each figure shows its move on last week and since you started. Free, with a PDF for the board, and by email every Tuesday if you want it.

An example, at this week's prices
For 200 diesel vans, 50 electric vans, 40 petrol or hybrid cars and 10 electric cars, 18,000 miles a year each, charging 70% at the depot, 10% at home and 20% in public. Prices for the week of 26 October 2026. See it as the PDF.
Fuel bill
£877,127 a year
- £416 less on last week
About £16,868 a week: 200 diesel vans at 21.0p a mile before VAT (diesel averaged 199.2p a litre this week) and 40 petrol or hybrid cars at HMRC's advisory fuel rates.
Electric cost
£121,724 a year
- no change on last week
About £2,341 a week: 50 electric vans at 11.8p a mile on your charging mix (before VAT) and 10 electric cars at 8.6p a mile, HMRC's advisory electric rates on the same mix.
Cost gap
£1,649 a van a year
- £2 less on last week
A diesel van costs 21.0p a mile to fuel and an electric one 11.8p to charge on your mix, so switching your 200 diesel vans would cut the energy bill by about £329,800 a year.
Electric van break-even
14,738 miles a year
- up 18 miles on last week
Above this mileage cheaper energy repays an electric van's extra cost (£1,350 a year, the price difference over 4 years). Your vehicles average 18,000 miles a year, above it: an electric van pays back.
Advisory fuel rates
£122,400 a year
- no change on June 2026 rates
Business miles in your 40 petrol or hybrid cars at HMRC's rates from September 2026: 17p a mile petrol, 16p diesel (mid-size engines). Next review 1 December 2026. Drivers charging vans at home pay about 2.2p a mile more than the 7p advisory electric rate: £1,991 a year across your fleet.
Market sentiment
59.6 / 100
- up 5.4 on August 2026
THRIVE's reading of how September 2026's UK fleet news leaned for fleets, where 50 is neutral. Above 50: more good news than bad.

Vans are costed before VAT, as a VAT-registered fleet pays: diesel at this week's UK average pump price and THRIVE's representative van economy, electric at your own mix of depot, home and public charging (fleet charging costs). THRIVE holds no car economy figures, so cars are costed at HMRC's advisory rates for mid-size engines. The break-even uses THRIVE's electric van price premium. Every move shown is a price move on the same fleet: changing your numbers does not count as a move.
Where the numbers come from
Diesel is the UK average pump price the government publishes each Tuesday; electricity is the business price by consumption band, the Ofgem price cap for charging at home and Zapmap's public charging averages; cars are at HMRC's advisory fuel rates. The same prices run THRIVE's fleet charging costs, break-even and Fleet Cost Index pages, and the dates come from the Fleet Calendar. A pack is worked out again every Tuesday when the new fuel prices land.
