THRIVE verdict

A well-equipped medium electric van with strong range and decent payload, best for urban and regional delivery rounds.

The eDELIVER 7 L2 H2 FWD pairs an 88 kWh battery with a 204 mile WLTP range, giving fleets a realistic day's work without constant charging stops. The 90kW DC rapid charge gets it from 20-80% in 43 minutes, and 11kW AC charging suits overnight depot top-ups. It's eligible for the plug-in van grant, which helps offset the upfront cost of going electric.

Payload sits at 1,025 kg against a 3,500 kg gross vehicle weight, and load volume is 8.7 m³ with a maximum load width of 1,800mm narrowing to 1,390mm between the arches, and a load height of 1,693mm. That's a usable body for parcels, tools or light pallets, and the 2,000 kg braked towing capacity adds flexibility for trailers on top of the daily round.

Maxus backs the van with a 5-year factory warranty and, notably, an 8-year warranty on the HV battery, which matters for fleets planning to keep vehicles long-term and worrying about battery degradation. Overall length of 5,445mm and height of 2,390mm should be checked against depot clearances and parking bays before ordering.

Best for

  • urban and regional delivery rounds needing a full day's range
  • operators wanting fast rapid-charge turnaround between shifts
  • businesses needing to tow light trailers alongside daily loads
  • long-term fleet holders valuing extended battery cover

Think twice

  • check load width between arches (1,390mm) fits your pallets or crates
  • confirm overall length and height (5,445mm / 2,390mm) against depot access
  • list price not yet verified in THRIVE's data, so confirm before budgeting

What fits in the load area

Worked out from the verified floor length 2,913mm, 1,390mm between the wheel arches, 1,693mm high. At the full Euro pallet count, the payload allows about 340kg per pallet. Counts use the width between the wheel arches for the whole floor, so they never over-count. Door openings are not in our data: check the rear and side door apertures before relying on a count. Goods stacked on a pallet can stand up to about 1,543mm tall, allowing 150mm for the pallet itself.
