Humax EV Charging is bringing its MX Pro 22kW charger to the UK for commercial and fleet applications, Van Fleet World reports. The charger combines faster deployment, scalable infrastructure, intelligent vehicle authentication and open charge point management system (CPMS) integration, aimed at fleet, depot and workplace charging.

A key feature is what Humax calls the MX Ready framework: sites can be pre-wired using an MX Pro backplate and protective dummy cover, allowing electrical preparation to be completed before a charger is actually needed. As fleet charging demand grows, additional MX Pro units can be fitted to the prepared backplates without further wiring work.

Matthew McMullan, director of automotive and energy at Humax EV Charging, said operators "require infrastructure that is straightforward to deploy today but does not restrict what they can do tomorrow," adding that the MX Pro "has been designed to address the challenge of future-proofing installations and minimising infrastructure disruption."

On software integration, McMullan said: "We are already integrated with Monta, Fuuse and Ta, and are open to integrating with other CPMS providers."

The MX Pro features AutoCharge, which starts charging automatically once a recognised vehicle is connected, and Plug & Charge using ISO 15118-2 for secure vehicle identification without an app or RFID card. It also has a MID-certified meter for billing and cost recovery, and a 4.30-inch LCD display with a digital QR code.

Connectivity includes a built-in 4G eSIM, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee, with support for OCPP 1.6J upgradeable to OCPP 2.0.1 for integration across leading charge point management platforms. A split-data architecture is designed to keep Humax diagnostics and maintenance connected even when operators run their own third-party CPMS.

The charger delivers up to 22kW three-phase charging and supports both single- and three-phase installations, with built-in PLC and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) readiness. It is rated IP54 and IK10, and can be wall-mounted or fitted to an optional pole.

Humax has deployed more than 18,000 EV chargers across South Korea, in both residential and commercial environments.

The MX Pro launches from the end of November 2026 through leading wholesalers and distributors across the UK, at a suggested retail price including VAT of £1,099, excluding installation.
