Source joins Zapmap as payment partner for UK ultra-rapid charging hubs
The integration lets Zapmap app and card users pay directly at Source's ultra-rapid charging hubs, adding to a network with plans for 300 sites across the UK and Ireland by 2030.
Source has officially joined Zapmap as a payment partner, enabling drivers to pay directly for charging at Source's ultra-rapid hubs across the UK via the Zapmap app or charging card, EV Fleet World reported.
Through the integration, Zapmap users can link a credit or debit card and pay for a charging session from the app or by tapping a Zapmap charging card, with Apple Pay and Google Pay also supported. The app additionally lets drivers view their charging history, receive live status updates and download digital receipts.
Source was launched in 2025 as a joint venture between TotalEnergies and SSE. The charging provider has set out plans to open 300 ultra-rapid charging hubs across the UK and Ireland by 2030.
Alice Aprile-Smith, head of partnerships and business development at Source, said joining Zapmap as a pay partner "puts our ultra-rapid hubs in front of its community of more than a million engaged EV drivers, and gives them one more simple way to pay when they charge with Source."
Melanie Shufflebotham, co-founder and chief operating officer at Zapmap, said the partnership was a positive development for current and future EV drivers. As the network continues to grow, she said, Zapmap users will be able to locate Source chargers and view live availability status, pricing and community feedback, as well as now having the option to pay via the app or charging card.
The Zapmap integration sits alongside Source's own SourceConnect app, which offers real-time hub location, QR-code charging activation and live session tracking.
