7 October 2026 | BMW Financial Services (GB) is now ISO/IEC 27001 certified, recognising both the high level of information security maintained across the business and the robust protocols consistently enforced throughout its operations.
ISO/IEC 27001 accreditation delivers independent and globally recognised third-party validation of the Group’s management of both sensitive financial and customer data, while also endorsing the Group’s robust framework of policies and procedures, covering people, processes, and technology.
The certification applies to all brands within BMW Financial Services, including ALPHERA - BMW Group’s multi-marque automotive finance business, and Alphabet – one of the UK’s largest and best-known fleet leasing operators.
Achieving this globally recognised standard requires significant organisational commitment, spanning multiple stakeholders across the Group’s individual brands.
Andy Hayter, Manager of Information Security at BMW Financial Services, said:
“ISO/IEC 27001 is the gold standard in our industry, and achieving this reflects the dedication, diligence and collaboration of teams across the Group. It shows our unwavering commitment to safeguarding information on behalf of our customers, partners and stakeholders.”
“While we’re rightly pleased with our achievement, we don’t see this as a job done. We will continue to adapt robustly to evolving threats, harness AI solutions for good and support our partners and suppliers to confront criminal cyber activity. For our customers and partners, this independent validation means they can do business with BMW Financial Services and its associated brands with the confidence that their data is protected to the highest global standards.”
