Skoda Elroq beats Enyaq on salary sacrifice value

Skoda's own numbers make an awkward case for its bigger SUV: the Elroq 60 SE L runs £386 a month on salary sacrifice against £477 for the equivalent Enyaq, a £91 gap on identical terms of £60,000 salary and 10,000 miles a year over three years, according to The Electric Car Scheme. That's not a rounding error for a driver choosing between the two.

The list-price gap explains most of it, £33,970 versus £39,010, but the range story is messier. The entry-level Elroq 60 only manages 278 miles WLTP against the Enyaq 60's 344, though at the top end the Elroq 85 closes the gap entirely, matching the Enyaq 85's 359 miles with 370 of its own. Both cars share the 4% BIK band for 2026/27, so the tax treatment is a wash, and the Enyaq claws back some ground with a 585-litre boot versus 470 litres in the Elroq. Across the two model ranges, sacrifice pricing spans eight Enyaq trims and four Elroq trims, from £385 to £594 a month, so the "which is cheaper" answer depends heavily on which trim is being compared.

Why this matters: scheme administrators comparing sister models on price alone risk steering drivers into the wrong car for their mileage. Anyone building a salary sacrifice car list should match trim-for-trim, not badge-for-badge, before assuming the smaller SUV is the automatic value pick.
