Mercedes-Benz revives Vito Sport-X as UK-exclusive crew van from £56,995
The high-specification crew van returned to UK showrooms in September 2026 after a few years' absence, initially offered only in L2 and L3 lengths with a 190hp diesel engine.

Mercedes-Benz Vans has launched a new version of the Vito Sport-X exclusively for the UK market, according to Van Fleet World. The Vito Sport-X arrived in Mercedes showrooms in September 2026, reintroducing a model to the Vito range that had been absent for a few years.
Pricing starts from £56,995 RRP excluding VAT. Initial models are available only as L2 and L3 crew vans.
The Sport-X is based on the Vito Select trim and powered by a 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 440Nm of torque from 1,350rpm, driving the rear wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz quotes a gross payload of up to 733kg and fuel economy of up to 38.7mpg on the WLTP cycle.
Exterior changes include a redesigned front bumper and grille with splitter, a rear spoiler, gloss black detailing, side skirts, roof rails, Sport-X badging, bonnet and side stripes, and 19-inch diamond-cut black alloy wheels. Inside, the van gets two sport seats trimmed in 'eco-leather' and suede with orange stitching, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless phone charging and a centre console unit with storage.
Van Fleet World notes that the launch also marks 130 years of transport involvement from Mercedes-Benz.
Speaking to Van Fleet World, Mercedes-Benz Vans UK operations director Simon Neill identified SMEs and owner-operators as the most likely customers for the Sport-X. "I think it's maybe anybody who's into sport and leisure as well and I expect that it will get some traction in the market very quickly," he said.
The publication's reviewer described the design as clearly aimed at rivals such as the Ford Transit Custom MS-RT and VW Transporter Sportline, adding that for now its fleet appeal is a bit limited. In the L3 crew van, load space is limited with all seats in place, though the rear three seats can be removed to open up the space; there is no bulkhead separating the load area from the front seats.
