Work has begun on reviving the Portishead line after 60 years shut, with £63 million of government money behind it and passenger services due back in 2028. The fleet angle: 5.5 miles of freight railway gets upgraded alongside the passenger works, and a 25-minute Bristol Temple Meads link reconnects over 50,000 people to the network.
