Škoda has hit one million Karoq units built and marked it with a new Black Edition, on order from 1 October 2026. For fleets running the Karoq as a mid-size SUV staple, it's another trim to weigh up rather than a shake-up - but check the spec sheet and pricing before renewal quotes land. (Škoda)

The Black Edition gets 19-inch Vega black alloy wheels and a choice of four drivetrains, spanning 1.5 TSI petrol to 2.0 TDI diesel, manual or DSG, with 4x4 on the higher-powered options. OTR prices run from £39,160 for the 1.5 TSI 150PS manual up to £46,035 for the 2.0 TDI 150PS DSG 4x4, with the DSG petrol at £40,610 and the 2.0 TSI 190PS DSG 4x4 at £45,335. First deliveries are expected by the end of 2026. The Karoq itself dates to 2017 and has sold more than 103,000 units in the UK alone. (Škoda)

Why this matters: With diesel 4x4 topping £46,000 OTR, the Black Edition pushes further into territory where BIK and whole-life cost comparisons against electrified rivals need rechecking before it goes anywhere near a choice list.
