Volvo EX30 Cargo electric van qualifies for £2,500 Zero Emission Van Grant
Volvo Car UK says the electric EX30 Cargo is eligible for the government's ZEVG scheme, bringing on-the-road prices to £33,529 for business and fleet buyers once the grant is applied.

Volvo Car UK has confirmed that its fully electric EX30 Cargo is eligible for the UK Government's Zero Emission Van Grant (ZEVG), cutting £2,500 off the purchase price for eligible business and fleet customers, Electric Cars Report reports.
With the grant applied, the compact electric commercial vehicle is available from £33,529 on the road. The ZEVG is separate from the government's Electric Car Grant, which supports eligible passenger vehicles rather than vans.
The EX30 Cargo is a second-stage conversion of Volvo's EX30 passenger SUV. The rear seats are replaced with a flat load floor giving up to 1,000 litres of cargo capacity and a maximum payload of 390kg, with a purpose-designed bulkhead separating cabin from load compartment, plus modified rear side panels and doors to maximise usable space.
Two versions are offered: the standard EX30 Cargo and the EX30 Cross Country Cargo, which gets increased ground clearance for operators who need it. Both are sold exclusively through Volvo Car UK's fleet sales channels, with a choice of P3 (150hp) or P5 (272hp) powertrains across Core and Plus trims, plus a Cross Country Plus variant.
The conversion can be specified on newly ordered vehicles or applied to existing stock, covering Model Year 2026 and Model Year 2027 vehicles, giving fleet operators flexibility in how they source the van.
Jack Munford, Head of Fleet at Volvo Car UK, said the grant eligibility makes the EX30 Cargo a more compelling option for businesses considering fleet electrification, pointing to the £2,500 incentive alongside the vehicle's safety, comfort and technology.
The van retains much of the passenger car's equipment, including Safe Space Technology, Google Automotive Services, Adaptive Cruise Control, front and rear Park Assist, a rear-view camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic LED headlights and a heat pump, alongside an added work light and underfloor subframe for securing cargo.
