Charge point operator Believ has partnered with Bengeworth Property Investments Limited to provide ultra-rapid EV charging near Evesham in Worcestershire. Four ultra-rapid charging bays are planned for a Tesco site off the A46, and Believ will fully fund the chargers.

Believ says it chose ultra-rapid charging for the site to suit shorter dwell times. The bays are intended to serve drivers on the route as well as shoppers and local residents. Believ also says all the chargers will be designed to meet PAS 1899, the UK specification standard for accessible public EV charging.

Believ expects delivery to be completed by the first quarter of 2027, with further details on construction and the site opening still to be confirmed.

Ben Johnson, senior surveyor at Believ, said: "Drivers are already stopping here, so adding charging makes practical sense and requires no extra detour." Andy Browne of Bengeworth Property Investments Limited said: "The new installation will bring quick, convenient EV charging to visitors to the Tesco site and drivers travelling along the A46."
