Swarco said to have saved £177,000 on fleet costs since appointing Alphabet as leasing partner
The transport systems company's claimed saving splits into more than £57,000 from van acquisition and £120,000 from specification changes, alongside a new Ford Transit and Renault Trafic order and an online ordering portal for regional managers.

Swarco is said to have achieved fleet-related savings of £177,000 since selecting Alphabet as its fleet leasing partner, Fleet News reported on 3 November 2026. The company chose Alphabet after a tendering process in which it was looking for simpler van procurement as well as cost savings.
According to the report, more than £57,000 was saved through the van acquisition process and a further £120,000 by optimising specification. Swarco was advised to specify winches rather than tail lifts, which met the same requirement while saving around £5,000 per vehicle. The report does not say over what period the savings were made or against what baseline they were measured.
After a full review of the existing fleet, three core variants of the Ford Transit range and the Renault Trafic were selected for a new vehicle order. Alphabet's relationships with Modul-System and Mediafleet are said to have helped accelerate the build process, with more than two-thirds of the order delivered ahead of schedule.
Alphabet has also delivered its own online ordering platform for Swarco. Regional managers are being given access so they can submit vehicle requests locally, choosing from pre-specified vans, with each request subject to authorisation by Swarco's procurement team.
Andrew Bovington, indirect procurement manager at Swarco, said one of the company's biggest challenges before working with Alphabet was managing a fleet supplied by multiple providers. "Each came with its own process, system and point of contact," he said. "We've made notable savings, drastically simplified the vehicle management and procurement processes and kept our field teams moving to support our clients."
